天鸿基金会 Tian Hong Foundation

        天鸿基金会刚成立的时候，目标并不是很清晰的，就好像一个在夜晚行路的人，摸索着，努力地寻找着一些微微的光亮，并凭着自己的直觉，深一步浅一步地往前走着。尽管没有大波大澜，没有大名大利，但一路走来心中还是很踏实的。我想这其中有两个原因。

         一是基金会的目的保持着单纯的非营利，名和利对我们都没有牵绊。我们不寄望于任何的经营收入，而是努力地把已有的资金用到对社区有益的，正面向上的，真的，善的，美的文化艺术的活动上。二是基金会满足了我在家庭，职业之外的追求，从某一天开始，我知道除了谋生，立足，抚养后代，我的生命中还需要其它的东西，那个东西就是文化艺术，和让更多的人在文化艺术的层次上互相交流，互相理解，互相爱戴。

        尽管我们的脚步是小的，尽管这个世界依然充满了战争，疾病，权利相斗，人和人之间依然会有误解，磋磨和偏见，但我想，只要真善美的火种不熄，世界还是充满希望的。如果周围的人可以在我们基金会赞助或举办的活动中，看到真善美，并渐渐地体会和传播这种真善美，那么我们所有的努力都是值得的了。

        在未来的日子里，我们会继续寻找好的，有质量的文化艺术作品，并寻求和各种文化团体的合作，帮助他们把自己的文化艺术带给更多的人。我们尤其希望举办一些真正多文化的艺术活动，让这个国度里，有着各种不同渊源的文化艺术得以相互交流，理解和欣赏。

Ever since we set up Tian Hong foundation, we are constantly searching for our destiny. It feels like we are having a journey in the dark, fumbling and looking for lights and moving forward, step by step based on our instincts. Although there is not any fame or profit, we feel very fulfilling due to the following two reasons.

First, the foundation has maintained its pure non-profit nature. Our focus is not profit or fame. We are trying to utilize the existing funding to organize or support various arts and cultural activities in the community that are beneficial, positive and reflect truth, kindness and beauty in human society. Secondly, on a personal level, the foundation satisfies my pursue outside of my family and career. One day in my life, I realized besides making a living and raising my next generation, I need something else in my life. That something is appreciating various arts and culture, and enabling more people to communicate, understand and love each other through arts and culture.

Although the steps we've made are small, although this world still has war, disease and political barriers, and there are still misunderstanding, conflicts and prejudice among human society, I believe, however, as long as the seeds of truth, kindness and beauty are never extinct, the world is always full of hope. If people in our community can sense these values in the events we sponsor or organize, or even gradually become agents of these values, all of our efforts will be worthwhile.

In the years to come, we will continue looking for good quality arts and cultural products, and seeking collaboration with various cultural groups to help promote their products to more people. We especially hope to organize some true multi-cultural events, and allow people with different cultural roots to share, understand and appreciate each other's arts.
